Four Editors’ Choices. Four Correct Decisions.
Well, would you look at that? The editors at Car and Driver just released their 2026 Editors' Choice list and Mazda appeared as a favorite more than once.
Here’s the lineup:
Mazda 3 — Editors’ Choice for Compact Car
Mazda CX-30 — Editors’ Choice for Subcompact SUV
Mazda CX-50 — Editors’ Choice for Compact SUV
MX-5 Miata — Editors’ Choice for Affordable Sports Car
Let’s start with the Mazda3 because it’s not just a commuter. It’s got legitimate chops with its unbelievably refined handling, soft materials inside, and your choice between two great engine options.
Then there’s the Mazda CX-30 which is a small but mighty SUV that achieves an award-winning blend of utility for the weekends at a comfortable size that looks right at home city-driving.
And I mean…do we really need to say much on the Miata or the CX-50?

Mazda MX-5 Miata
Chances are if you’re reading this, you’re already a fan of the MX-5 Miata. But if you’re not...how could you not be?! It’s lightweight and agile with tremendous steering feel. All of this with a price that won’t make your eyes water. That’s a no brainer!
And the Mazda CX-50 is another obvious one. We’re talking standard AWD, enough cargo space for gear, groceries, or a last minute weekend getaway with a polished interior. This SUV makes no compromises. Plus, you can get it as a Hybrid too!
Our Sponsored Driver is Debuting in NASCAR!
Good luck Tyler!
We could not be more excited for Tyler Gonzalez this week. After years of racing in MX-5 Cup with strong results and multiple race wins under his belt, Tyler is taking a huge step forward this weekend by making his NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series debut (formerly known as the XFinity Series) with Hettinger Racing at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas!
But of course, this means that Tyler will have to miss THIS MX-5 Cup race weekend so he can make his NASCAR debut. This was our 2nd year sponsoring Tyler and we’re so happy for him and proud to have been able to contribute to such a talented race car driver. We'll miss him!
But hey, if there’s one thing we've learned from watching BSI Racing is that they have a great eye for talent and a knack for developing drivers.
Now, our sister store Holler Ford will follow Tyler as one of his sponsors on the Ford Mustang racecar provided by the Hettinger Racing team. Everyone here is all fired up for Tyler’s NASCAR debut. It’s going to be awesome!
From all of us at Classic Mazda in Orlando, Good luck Tyler! We will be watching and cheering you on!
Holler Ford Launches Its 1st Annual Racing Showcase
Hey race fans! Holler Ford, our sister store, is launching its first-ever Racing Showcase, built around the same motorsports focus we all love, just with a bit of American muscle flair.
The Holler Ford 1st Annual Racing Showcase will feature race-prepped Ford GT3 and GT4 Mustangs, hands-on racing simulators, and freebies for early RSVPs!
And because it’s a family event, you can expect the famous 100 foot Hot Wheels race track to make an appearance! Plus, you can count on local food trucks to be there.
Best of all: it's a FREE EVENT so save the date: Saturday, March 14th 2026.
