Mazda Spirit Racing Special Model: Mazdaspeed Returns

Slated to make its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon in early January, the racing-inspired version of the MX-5 is peaking everyone’s interest. A part of Mazda’s newest high-performance division (rip Mazdaspeed), the new MX-5 will be the division’s first road-ready model.

We still don’t know if this MX-5 will be a Japan-only model. What we do know is that the front end will have a new splitter and badge on the grille. From the released photo above, we also see new decals, six-spoke black wheels, redesigned side skirts, wing mirrors, and a lip spoiler.

MX-5 Cup : A Look Ahead

Speaking of racing and Mazda, the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup is soon approaching (more on that later). But first let’s cover the big news of this last season.

• Noah Harmon wins MX-5 Cup Shootout and $150,000 Scholarship

The 2025 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup begins January 22nd with Rounds 1 & 2 in Daytona. The weekend will be packed full of great Mazda racing, news, unveilings, and more. Classic Mazda is especially looking forward to the upcoming season, and we’re excited to see what our friends at BSI Racing are able to accomplish in the year ahead. 👀 👀

Another successful Toys for Tots toy-drive is in the books! Classic Mazda was able to accept dozens of toy donations for Toys for Tots this season. We hope you were able to take advantage of our unique incentives to bring joy to children and yourself with a new Mazda.
